KOREA- A DAY AS A MONK

Travel at temples is still relatively new to the world, but in South Korea, this type of tourism is very popular. In fact, after days of stressful work, visitors who want to find a quiet place to relax their minds and immerse themselves in nature will find that a temple stay is the best option. Currently, there are hundreds of Buddhist monasteries in Korea that have registered to organize Temple Stays, allowing locals and foreigners to come and learn about the national cultural identity and spiritual activities, as well as experience a peaceful day living in the environment of monastics for one day and one night.
To practice a day of peace and live in the environment of a monastic, these places welcome guests and organize room assignments, distribute uniforms, name tags, and numbers for each person.
They then introduce the daily schedule of the monastery, provide guidance on how to prostrate to the Buddha, chant sutras, practice seated meditation, walking meditation, the art of Zen tea ceremony, the four deportments of a Buddhist, practice qigong, yoga, martial arts, painting, writing sutras in Chinese characters, early morning mountain walks, three steps and one bow… with many activities, depending on the needs of the moment and the time.
After a day of being a monk, visitors can combine the experience with visiting other beautiful and famous temples in Korea.
