Aside from maintaining a calm mindset, the best ways to prevent altitude sickness are avoiding strenuous exercise, drinking plenty of water, eating fruit, and getting adequate rest. It is advised to avoid alcohol, minimize smoking, and refrain from overeating. Please do not shower on the first night after arriving in Lhasa. Due to the significant temperature difference between morning and evening, stay warm to help prevent altitude sickness.)
