GUIDELINES & POLICY INFORMATION
1. Cancellation Terms
– Force Majeure (Weather, natural disasters, strikes, war, etc.): Zenflower Travel will issue a written notice and refund the deposit in cash after deducting incurred service costs (visa fees, flight deposits). No additional compensation will be provided.
– Visa Rejection by Chinese Embassy/Consulate: Guests pay a visa processing fee of 3,250,000 VND/person; the remaining deposit will be refunded in cash.
– Unilateral Cancellation by Customer (Must be submitted in writing; phone cancellations not accepted):
– Immediately after deposit: 10% of total tour price.
• 60 working days prior to departure (excl. Sat & Sun): 50% of total tour price.
• 30 working days prior to departure (excl. Sat & Sun): 70% of total tour price.
• 96 hours prior to departure (excl. Sat & Sun): 100% of total tour price.
2. Mandatory Tipping & Single Supplement
– Single room surcharge: 775 USD/person.
– Total compulsory tipping for local guide, driver, and porters: 80 usd/person for the entire tour (collected during the pre-trip briefing meeting).
IMPORTANT NOTES
– Passports & Visas: Overseas Vietnamese or foreign nationals must bring loose-leaf visas. Passports must be valid for over 6 months from the return date. Processing requires at least 25 working days for Vietnamese passports and 45 working days for foreign passports; Tibet Entry Permits take 45 days. Guests must register 120 working days in advance.
– Documents: Provide 2 photos (4cm x 06cm, white background) and submit original passports for visa processing. Provide vaccination proof as required.
– Age & Health Eligibility: Children under 12 years old and pregnant women are not accepted. Guests aged 70–75 must pay a premium insurance fee, provide a
physician’s medical fitness clearance, submit a signed health commitment, and be accompanied by a healthy family member under 60 years old.
– High Season: May is the peak season for Tibet travel; early registration is strongly advised.
– Disclaimer: The company is not liable for missed sightseeing due to natural disasters, security crises, or flight disruptions (delays, technical glitches, reschedules).
– Pre-trip Briefing: Attending the pre-departure briefing meeting is mandatory. The company will not accept claims arising from missed briefings.

Pick up at Tan Son Nhat International Airport for the flight to Chengdu, layover at Xiamen Airport. Arrive in Chengdu—the capital of Sichuan Province and the main hub for all routes into Tibet. Transfer to the hotel for check-in, enjoy dinner, and receive an orientation for the upcoming Lhasa journey, including essential Tibet entry procedures.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then transfer to the airport for a flight to Lhasa, the capital of Tibet. (The first day in Lhasa is crucial, so it is recommended to spend the entire day resting. Lhasa is located at an altitude of approximately 3,650 meters above sea level, with oxygen levels at only 65% of those at sea level. Most visitors experience altitude sickness to varying degrees. Aside from maintaining a calm mindset, the best ways to prevent altitude sickness are avoiding strenuous exercise, drinking plenty of water, eating fruit, and getting adequate rest. It is advised to avoid alcohol, minimize smoking, and refrain from overeating. Please do not shower on the first night after arriving in Lhasa. Due to the significant temperature difference between morning and evening, stay warm to help prevent altitude sickness.)
Upon arrival at the Tibet airport, meet the local tour guide and transfer to the hotel for check-in to acclimate to the high-altitude climate. Rest to help your body adapt to the elevation. Overnight at the hotel
Enjoy breakfast, then transfer to visit the Potala Palace—also known as the Grand Palace of the Lamas. Built by the 5th Dalai Lama, it houses ancient treasures from Tibet’s historical Yarlung Dynasty. Explore the Red Palace and the White Palace, which served as the administrative and spiritual centers for successive Dalai Lamas. After lunch, visit Barkhor Street, one of the famous destinations in Tibet that attracts visitors from all over the world with its ancient Tibetan spiritual ambiance. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay in Lhasa.
After breakfast, visit Drepung Monastery, then proceed to Sera Monastery—home to over 200 resident monks—to experience the daily cultural and academic life of Tibetan monks and learn about the Buddhist tradition of "monastic debating," which originated nearly 2,000 years ago and is still widely applied in modern academic examination systems.
After lunch, visit Jokhang Temple, the most sacred site in Tibet, which enshrines the revered statue of Buddha brought to Tibet by Princess Wencheng during the Tang Dynasty. Explore the vibrant Barkhor Street shopping district, enjoy dinner, and spend the night in Lhasa.
After breakfast, depart to visit Yamdrok Lake, a natural freshwater lake. Following lunch, cross the Karola Glacier, which stands at an elevation of 5,500 meters above sea level and serves as the highest point in the Himalayas on this mystical Tibetan pilgrimage. The group will then continue to visit Pelkor Chöde Monastery (Palkhor Temple), renowned for its Kumbum Stupa—the largest and most architecturally unique stupa in Tibet, designed in five tiers to represent a grand Mandala.

After breakfast, depart to visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, the seat of the Panchen Lamas, who serve as the tutors to successive Dalai Lamas. The monastery also houses the world's largest bronze statue of Maitreya Buddha. After lunch, visit Sakya Monastery, the center of the Sakya lineage—an ancient Tantric tradition propagated by Tibetan lay practitioners. Enjoy dinner and spend the night in Shigatse.
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and depart for Lhasa. En route, visit Tsurphu Monastery—the principal seat of the Karmapa lineage, one of the four major schools of Tibetan Buddhism. This is where the reincarnated Gyalwa Karmapas of the Kagyu lineage resided and practiced. Upon returning to Lhasa, enjoy free time for shopping. Overnight stay in Lhasa.
After breakfast, transfer to visit Samye Monastery, the oldest monastery in Tibet. It serves as the first Tantric patriarchate school, founded and blessed by the powerful Guru Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche). This monastery was a major debate center for various Tibetan Buddhist schools and received direct empowerments and blessings from Guru Padmasambhava. Following lunch, continue the journey to visit Ganden Monastery—a renowned Buddhist academy considered one of the three great scholastic treasures of the Tantric tradition. Return to Lhasa for free time to shop. Overnight stay in Lhasa.
Enjoy breakfast, followed by free time to rest and pack your luggage. Visit the Norbulingka Summer Palace, the former summer residence of successive Dalai Lamas. Afterwards, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Chengdu. In the afternoon, explore and shop at Jinli Ancient Street—a vibrant neighborhood home to many Tibetan diaspora communities, creating a bustling area rich in diverse cultural flavors.
Enjoy dinner and spend free time exploring the lively streets surrounding the hotel, packed with various shopping boutiques. Overnight stay in Chengdu.
Enjoy breakfast, check out of the hotel, and visit Wenshu Monastery—one of the oldest and largest Buddhist monasteries in Chengdu, historically known as the resting place of Master Xuanzang (Tripitaka) on his journey back from India. After lunch, transfer to the airport for your flight from Chengdu back to Ho Chi Minh City, concluding your memorable Tibetan pilgrimage journey.
